2020 Pavement Management: Project to mill and overlay City streets begins in September
COMPLETED
Sept. 8, 2020 | Public Information Office
Beginning September 15th, crews will re-pave streets throughout the community. The City Commission approved an increase of funding in the 2020 budget to help Leavenworth’s roads to $1.8 million - more than double in previous years. This decision was made after feedback from the public about road conditions and a contractor did imaging of the streets in 2016 and 2019 that showed deterioration. These streets were selected for mill and overlay, which means removing a portion of the road and overlaying with asphalt. The mill and overlay projects are scheduled for September and October. All work is weather dependent.
