Food Handler/Health Permits
Health Permit
The City of Leavenworth requires all food and drinking establishments, mobile food vendors and ice cream vendors to have a current health permit. To apply for a permit complete the application and return it to the City Clerk's Office along with the $100.00 permit fee. The City accepts checks, cash, money orders, and credit cards. Staff will schedule an inspection for your establishment. Once you pass inspection, a health permit will be issued to your establishment.
Food Handler Requirements
The City of Leavenworth requires all employees who handle food to have a food handler card issued by the City of Leavenworth. Food Handler classes are available online. The 75-minute StateFoodSafety.com online course is fully audio-visual in English, Español, 普通话, 한국어, Việt, American Sign Language, Tagalog, and Serbo- Croatian. After passing the online exam, you can print your City of Leavenworth Food Handler Permit.
