Trash will not be collected on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in the City of Leavenworth while crews prepare for upcoming winter weather.
The National Weather Service in Kansas City is predicting LINK snow before 7 a.m. on Tuesday, then snow, possibly mixed with rain between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., then snow after 8 a.m. High near 34. Breezy, with a northwest wind 14 to 19 mph increasing to 23 to 28 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
The Recycling Center will be closed Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Trash will be delayed one day throughout January 9-13.
Trash normally collected on Tuesday, January 9 - Will be picked up Wednesday, January 10
Trash normally collected on Wednesday, January 10 - will be picked up Thursday, January 11
Trash normally collected on Thursday, January 11 - will be picked up Friday, January 12
Trash normally collected on Friday, January 12 - will be picked up Saturday, January 13
The smaller amount of locations receiving Saturday trash pickup will continue to have trash pickup Saturday, January 13.
