Program Description

It does not cost a thing to adopt a park.  The Parks & Recreation Department will help train, supply general materials, and supervise progress. 

Adopting a park can take many forms including: reporting vandalism and maintenance problems to Park Maintenance; providing maintenance assistance in the form of general park clean-up, such as picking up litter, weeding, and minor planting (such as flowers, replacement shrubbery); and/or providing direct monetary assistance for park enhancements.

The purpose of this program is to build community spirit and a sense of civic responsibility.  By supplementing City resources, this program will enhance the condition and beauty of our parks and other landscaped areas and will improve the quality of life in Leavenworth for the entire community.
