Fees: $40 Residents/$45 Non-Residents - - For registering multiple children in the same household at one time, the first two are at full price. The third child (and subsequent children after that) will receive a discount. Call or email Parks & Recreation before registering online to receive the discount.The Parks and Recreation Department provides these programs for children, teens, and adults. Certified instructors will provide you with a supportive environment in which to learn and obtain skills. Classes are taught at the Riverfront Community Center.
Class size: Minimum 3, Maximum 6
Registration: Register online (convenience fees apply) or in person at the Riverfront Community Center. You will be able to select the Session you want below to be taken to the online registration page. Students must be registered by Noon the Friday before the session starts (for Saturday classes - Noon on Wednesday before the session starts). *These classes require a family "helper" to attend and participate in the water with the child (no additional charge).*

- Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills: Students will learn how to feel comfortable in the water and safely enjoy it.
- Level 2 - Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: Children will learn basic swimming skills.
- Level 3 - Stroke Development: Additional guided practice will help students improve their skills.
- Level 4 - Stroke Improvement: Kids will gain confidence during swim lessons, improve their stroke and gain additional aquatic skills.
Inclement Weather/Lightning Policy:
In the event of inclement weather, classes will still run. However, if thunder/lightning is present, all classes will be taught on deck to go over required pool safety rules and information.
