With the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday Monday, Jan. 15, and dangerously cold temperatures forecast on Tuesday morning, Jan. 16, the City of Leavenworth will cancel trash pickup January 15 to January 16.
The National Weather Service predicts crews outside Tuesday morning would face minus 8 degree Fahrenheit temperatures with an even lower wind chill factor. This extraordinary adjustment is necessary to keep everyone safe.
Riverfront Community Center is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day, on New Year's Eve, we close at 5 pm
- Martin Luther King Day
- Presidents Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after
- Christmas Day, on Christmas Eve, we close at noon.
