City Commission to review budget for 2022

Beginning in July, the City Commission will review the staff proposal for its annual budget for 2022 and a Capital Improvements Program for 2022-2026. The City Commission will hold a work session 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 16 at City Hall, 100 N. Fifth St. The meeting is open to the public.
The City’s budget runs on an annual basis, from January 1 to December 31. It contains all the City’s revenue and expenses for that year. Law requires that the budget be a balanced budget. The City aims to continue to provide high quality services while maintaining sound financial standing.
Public feedback on the financial documents is welcomed at any time. Additionally, two public hearings will be held regarding the city budget, which will be announced on the City’s website.
