CDBG applications due for nonprofit public service agencies February 9

The City of Leavenworth’s Community Development Block Grant is taking applications for rent or utility reimbursement for nonprofit public service agencies.

Agencies must be located in the Leavenworth city limits, be a nonprofit agency, and serve low to moderate-income citizens, as defined by guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Priority is given to agencies whose primary focus is housing and homelessness, health and mental health, or substance abuse support. The amount of funding has yet to be determined by HUD. Last year the City of Leavenworth received $51,013.00 for distribution to five qualified agencies.
