5K History Walk

Enjoy a 5k history walk in historic downtown Leavenworth. There are more than 130 locations to learn about the history of our city.  

The 5K walk starts at Haymarket Square, at the corner of 7th and Cherokee Streets, and continues east along the south side of Cherokee Street to the Missouri River. Walkers then follow Esplanade Street to Delaware and Shawnee Streets and back again. Download the map below to see the route, which takes you down the three main streets in historic downtown Leavenworth. The route ends at the Leavenworth Main Street Programs office at 416 Cherokee Street, where you can take a moment to look at Leavenworth's newest mural on the east side of the building.
